Lucinda B&B-(Circa 1891)
Celebrating 25 Years
Hello, I’m Fiona Waddle and I am your hostess at Lucinda B&B.
My husband Glenn & myself purchased Lucinda B&B back in 1999 and during this time have experienced many highs & lows including “Covid”. Dedication & hard work have got us through many difficult times.
Let me tell you a few things about our beautiful Victorian home.
Lucinda B&B was built by Dr. William Robert Stewart as his private residence in 1891. Lucinda B&B has double brick walls, 15-foot ceilings, ornate ceiling roses & pressed tin ceilings. Lovely features not often found in a private home built during this period.
One important thing I would like to mention is that all our rooms are located upstairs.
Lucinda B&B is perched upon “Dooley’s Hill” with views over the township. Situated upon 4 acres of grounds you are guaranteed a quiet stay.
I have found Latrobe to be a safe, friendly township which can boast a great range of eating options and an eclectic range of shopping. We have enjoyed living here for the past 24 years.
Another tick for Latrobe is that it is centrally located to all Northern Tasmanian tourist attractions.
Anvers Chocolates, Cradle Mountain, King Solomon & Marakoopa Caves, Trowunna Wildlife Park, Leven Canyon, Gardens, Cheese Makers, Whiskey Makers and many more.
Don’t forget the Platypus. Come and view our surrounding “Paddles”.
Stay for a few nights knowing your attractions are never too far away.
Enjoy a cooked breakfast before you head out for your next adventure.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
